Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29.08.2025

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile and web applications (“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We are committed to protecting your personal data and using it only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable privacy laws and with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use Requirements.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our Service with Gmail login, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: your Google account email address for authentication.
  • Email Metadata: sender, subject line, headers, and unsubscribe-related information needed to provide our unsubscribe/keep receiving features.
  • App Settings & Preferences: such as your notification settings and service preferences.
  • Device and Technical Data: device model, operating system version, IP address, and app usage data to improve performance and security.

We only collect the data necessary to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

We acknowledge that Gmail data, including message metadata and any accessed content, is considered sensitive user data. Such data is handled with the highest confidentiality and is protected under the security controls described in this policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Allow you to log in securely with your Gmail account.
  • Provide features such as identifying subscription emails and enabling you to unsubscribe or keep receiving them.
  • Maintain and improve our Service, including performance, usability, and security.
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, support, or other service-related matters.

We do not transfer, sell, or use any Google Workspace user data for developing, training, or improving generalized or non-personalized machine learning or artificial intelligence models. Workspace user data is processed solely to provide the requested features for the signed-in user.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

We do not share Google Workspace user data with any third-party AI or ML services for the purposes of model training or improvement. We only share data with third parties when strictly necessary to provide the functionality you explicitly request or as required by law.

4. Google API Disclosure & Limited Use Compliance

Our app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We will only access and use Gmail data to provide the Service’s user-facing features.
  • We will not use or transfer Gmail data to develop, improve, or train generalized/non-personalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
  • Any AI/ML applied within the Service is strictly limited to providing the feature requested by the user (e.g., identifying subscription emails) and is not retained or reused for broader purposes.
  • We will not share Gmail data with third-party AI/ML providers, advertising services, or marketing partners.
  • Limited transfers may occur only to infrastructure providers (e.g., secure cloud hosting), under strict contractual agreements, and solely to operate or secure the Service.
  • We will not allow human access to Gmail data unless required for security, abuse investigations, compliance with the law, or with your explicit consent.

5. Data Sharing

We do not transfer or disclose your information to third parties for purposes other than providing the Service or complying with the law.

We may share limited information with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., secure cloud hosting, analytics) who help us operate our Service. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and are prohibited from using it for any independent purpose, including AI/ML training or advertising.

6. AI/ML Data Handling

In compliance with Google’s Limited Use Policy, our application does not transfer, sell, or use Google Workspace user data to create, train, or improve machine learning or artificial intelligence models. All user data remains private and is used solely for user-requested features within the application.

7. Security and Protection of Sensitive Data

We take the protection of your information seriously, especially data obtained through Google Workspace APIs such as Gmail. To safeguard this sensitive data, we use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including:

Encryption: All Google user data is encrypted in transit (using HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Access Control: Access is strictly limited to the authenticated user and essential system components. No employee has routine access to Gmail or other Google user data.

Data Isolation: Each user’s data is logically separated from others to prevent unauthorized access.

Monitoring & Auditing: Systems are regularly monitored for suspicious activity and reviewed for vulnerabilities.

Infrastructure Security: Data is stored on secure servers protected by firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security patching.

We continually evaluate and update our practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not store any Google user data (including Gmail data) on our remote servers. All data accessed through Google Workspace APIs is processed only locally on the user’s device for the sole purpose of providing the requested functionality.

Once the user deletes the application or revokes the granted permissions, all associated Google user data is immediately and permanently inaccessible. Because we do not persist Google user data on our servers, there is no separate retention period.

Users may also contact us at beintouch@oceanfloatmobile.com. for confirmation of data handling practices.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • The right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing activities.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at beintouch@oceanfloatmobile.com.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. Updates will be posted within the Service.
